TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN MARKETING

 


At the Department of Marketing in the School of Business and Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam - starting date September 2022 (negotiable)

MARKETING DEPARTMENT

We are a research oriented group that offers a stimulating environment and a dynamic international culture. Our faculty publishes in the major marketing journals, as well as several other (top level) outlets in economics, psychology, decision making, and interdisciplinary journals. We have also organized a number of high quality small conferences and symposia, including the European ACR in 2023, a JAMS Thought Leadership conference (2017), the inaugural IMRC conference (2018, in collaboration with Journal of Interactive Marketing), and our own VU consumer research symposia.

The department offers courses at all levels and participates in the school’s PhD program. Our MSc in Marketing (in English, 150-200 students) has been rated best in The Netherlands. In addition, we offer a part-time MSc in Marketing for executives, and courses in the school’s MBA and EMBA programs, as well as Bachelor programs in (International) Business Administration, Economics, and Econometrics. The department’s language of communication is English, teaching is either in English or in Dutch.

POSITIONS

We are looking for a new colleagues, and are equally interested in candidates with behavioral, quant or strategy backgrounds.

Candidates are required to have a PhD in Marketing or related area (either completed or with a fixed date for the defense) at the start of the contract, and should be fluent in English. More senior candidates are also stimulated to apply (salary may be adjusted to reflect the seniority of the candidate).
