The Department of Topological Quantum Chemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden offers a full time Postdoctoral position (m/f/d)

Requirements

  • Understanding of superconductivity and chemical bonding
  • Comprehensive background in inorganic materials synthesis
  • Handling of toxic and air sensitive materials
  • Techniques to characterize materials and measure their physical properties at low temperatures
  • Analyze and understand experimental results

Qualifications and skills

  • University degree and PhD in physics, chemistry or material science
  • Ability to work in a team and interdisciplinary environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Background in quantum phenomena arising from different types of lattices
  • Hands-on experience in single crystal growth
