We are looking for 1-2 Junior Content Creators for an international research project. MEN4DEM is a Horizon Europe project exploring how political masculinities can be transformed to strengthen democracy in Europe. We work at the intersection of research, art, and civic engagement – with a particular focus on inclusion and democratic values. The role of Junior Content Creator is ideal for someone with an eye for digital communication, who enjoys writing, creating, and planning content, and who is comfortable taking initiative within given guidelines. You should also be comfortable engaging with research and communicating with a variety of people and organizations.
Duties
Duties for a teaching assistant can include teaching, administration or participation in research or artistic research. The duties for this position will focus on gathering information to create relevant and engaging content for the project’s website and social media. You will follow a communications plan but also have the opportunity to take your own initiatives for content and campaigns. Tasks include:
- Creating content for the project’s website and social media channels
- Producing material for newsletters and policy briefs
- Coordinating posts and deadlines according to a communications plan
- Managing the communications calendar
- Working with templates and graphic materials provided by a communications agency
- Acting as the contact person for communication-related matters within the project team
Requirements
For employment as a teaching assistant, it is a requirement that you are admitted as a student at undergraduate or advanced level. We are looking for someone who:
- Is currently studying communication, journalism, media, political science, gender studies, or a related field
- Has excellent writing skills in English
- Has experience working with social media
- Is self-motivated, curious, and solution-oriented
You should be fluent in English, both spoken and written. Great emphasis will be placed on personal characteristics such as initiative, attention to detail, flexibility, service-mindedness, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
Additional qualifications
- Experience in communication and digital media within research, especially EU-funded projects
- Experience in artistic or creative work
- Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop, Canva, InDesign, and Brevo
About the employment
The employment is a temporary position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. Scope of employment: 10-25% for up to 1 year, with possible extension. Starting date: as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
