Lund University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences, Lund

Lund University was founded in 1666 and is repeatedly ranked among the world’s top universities. The University has around 46 000 students and 8 500 staff based in Lund, Helsingborg and Malmö. We are united in our efforts to understand, explain and improve our world and the human condition.

Functional Breast Cancer Genomics Group
The research group combines bioinformatic analyses, primarily of various types of sequencing data with experimental studies to investigate the effects of genetic variation and mutations on the transcriptome in breast cancer. Areas of particular interest include synonymous genetic variants, alternative splicing, and gene fusions. The group consists of the principal investigator (senior lecturer), one PhD student, and students undertaking masters or bachelor thesis projects. The research is conducted at the Division of Oncology at Medicon Village.

Within the research group, we value a positive work environment characterized by respect and consideration in our interactions with one another. We continuously strive to create conditions that promote job satisfaction, development, and inclusion for all team members.

The research group is now seeking a full-time PhD student (100%) with a start date of September 1, 2026 (or as agreed).
