Research Assistant within T cell phenotypes in MS development

In our lab we combine human immunology and rodent systems to dissect the effect of genetics, metabolism and environmental factors on immune cell modulation in the context of autoimmunity. We offer a vibrant research environment, diverse expertise and a highly collaborative structure.

Your mission

As research assistant, your mission will be to develop CRISPR-mediated approaches to modulate T cell function in the MS animal model EAE. Daily chores will include plasmid cloning in bacteria, plasmid purification, retrovirus generation and concentration, mouse immunizations, infection of mouse T cells in vitro, adoptive transfer of cells into target animals and daily EAE scoring.

Your profile

You should be an independent and driven individual with a strong background in cellular and molecular biology and immunology with experience in handling mice and rats. Flow cytometry is a requisite. Experience in CNS tissue dissection and processing for downstream applications is an advantage. Good proficiency of the English language and team-working capacity are a must.
