Your mission

The mission of the hired research assistant will be to conduct wet lab research in a new project focused on establishing a new immunomodulatory strategy to boost brain immunity against bacterial infections causing meningoencephalitis. The laboratory of Associate Professor Federico Iovino investigates pathogenesis of bacterial meningitis and encephalitis with the ultimate goal of developing new therapeutic approaches to reinforce immune responses and prevent permanent brain damage.

Your profile

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor or master degree in biological sciences (or related fields) and certified expertise in molecular biology techniques (ELISA, western blot, advanced microscopy, flow cytometry) as well in microbiology (preferably bacteriology) and neurobiology.
